BKB is seeking an Auction Clerk to oversee all administrative and clerical duties. Your duties will include all tasks related to the administration of clients, auction programs and the payment process of auctions.  If you are a detail-oriented professional with proven clerical experience, we want you to apply.  Our ideal candidate will also be familiar with basic bookkeeping and office administration processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Auction admin and accounting:

  1. Assist with auction clerk responsibilities
  2. Reconcile buyer and seller quantities and correlate them to the auction roll
  3. Compare with the auction summary and do a reconciliation of the auction
  4. Finalisation of the auction to be imported into the server and Syspro

Administrative responsibilities:

  1. Handle all enquiries from sellers, buyers, clients and personnel about the auction
  2. Ensure that auction invoices reach sellers as soon as possible

Expense function:

  1. Gather all invoices of the business area before submitting for purchase orders.
  2. Handle all queries from suppliers in terms of statements, invoices and payments
  3. Follow up on payments to suppliers

Training:

  1. Responsible for the training of auction clerks
  2. Keep abreast with changes in Auction systems 
  3. Regular training for any updates or changes

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Requirements

  1. Grade 12 
  2. Must be fully conversant in English and Afrikaans
  3. Valid driver’s license
  4. Excellent computer literacy in MS Office applications

  1. Ability to work independently combined with excellent interpersonal skills
  2. Attention to detail
  3. Excellent administrative skills
  4. Analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Time management skills
