Naledi Local Municipality Traffic Officer Learnership Programme 2024

Naledi Local Municipality invites unemployed youth to apply for the Traffic Officer Learnership Programme 2024.


STIPEND: R3 500.00 per month (no other benefits and/or allowances are payable during the period)

Program Overview:

  1. The learnership program is part of Naledi Local Municipality’s commitment to addressing youth unemployment and providing opportunities for skills development.
  2. The training will be done according to the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996.
  3. The training will be conducted by Matjhabeng Traffic Training Academy and will last for 12 months.



  1. South African citizens with Grade 12 of National Senior Certificate.
  2. Proof of medical examination.
  3. Applicants must permanently reside within the jurisdiction of Naledi Local Municipality.
  4. Valid Drivers License.
  5. SAPS Clearance results in no criminal record.

Training Requirements:

  1. Pass a written assessment and an interview.
  2. Pass a physical assessment.
  3. Maintain levels of fitness and undergo ongoing fitness assessments.
  4. Submit SAPS Clearance results.
  5. No other criminal clearances will be accepted.

Special Conditions:

  1. Completion of the training does not guarantee a permanent position.
  2. Extensive physical training is required, by the Firearm and Ammunitions Act.
  3. Only candidates residing in Dithakwaneng, Stella and Tlhakeng will be considered.
  4. Successful candidates will wear a uniform, work shifts, and in all weather conditions.
