Hermes Trading Pty Ltd is an Ecommerce Start-up that has gone from a back bedroom operation to outgrowing 4 warehouses in the space of 4 years. The pace at which our company is growing is exciting and as a result we are in need of an enthusiastic Warehouse Officer & Pick Packer to join the young team. 

The culture is one of trust, hard work and having a good time. 

Working in a recently constructed small office / warehouse in a business park in South Geelong.

Hours 24 per week; 

7-3 Monday

8-11 Tuesday

8-11 Wednesday 

8-11 Thursday

8-3 Friday

Daily tasks include;

• Warehouse officer
• Responsible Tasks:
• Fulfil orders from customers in daily chronological order
• Assess and choose best value shipping service for each order
• Complete packing and mailing of all orders. This involves:
• Printing delivery labels with the correct and complete name and address
• Attaching mailing labels to packages
• Packing items from warehouse shelving
• Packing items into envelopes or other suitable packaging
• Sorting envelopes or packages into separate piles to be collected by couriers
• Lifting heavy items up to 25kg
• Occasionally unloading loose filled containers 
• Shelf restocking etc
• Use of Walkie Stacker to move pallets (with training) 
• Customer Service & Administration (In a backup/Support capacity)
• The successful candidate will be required to be trained in this capacity to backfill during periods of leave and to help during busy periods. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Responsible Tasks:

• Check in-coming emails & messages via the customer service system (Gorgias)
• Send return emails to customers seeking warranties and when required, create manual orders using shipping software (Shipstation)
• Communicate with customers via email in response to any concerns regarding product quality control & communicate if required with the Warehouse & Operations Manager
• Company directors are always readily available on the phone to answer any questions and assist with solving problems. Company directors attend the office / warehouse as required.
• Parking available immediately outside the office entry.

Required skills / Experience

• Friendly and down to earth 
• Forklift Experience / License preferred, but not essential.
• Fast Learner
• Basic maths & ability to problem solve
• Happy to work alone occasionally & at a fast pace
• High level of attention to detail
• The ability to lift boxes (sometimes heavy) with ease, sometimes for extended periods (unloading shipping container etc)
